Lanao del Sur—A joint law enforcement operation successfully recovered approximately Php 68,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Pindulunan, Wao, Lanao del Sur on the evening of September 30, 2024. The operation, conducted at around 6:50 PM, led to the seizure of two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
The operation was spearheaded by personnel from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), in coordination with 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) LDSPPO, the 1402nd and 1403rd Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFC), and Maguing Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Provincial Director PCOL Robert S. Daculan commended the efforts of the law enforcement units involved. “Their dedication to eradicating illegal drugs in the province is commendable. This successful operation is another step toward maintaining peace and order in our communities,” Daculan said.
The suspect, identified only as “Najer,” a resident of the area, managed to escape upon sensing the presence of law enforcers. Despite the suspect’s escape, authorities were able to recover the illegal drugs from the scene.
The seized pieces of evidence have been brought to the LDSPPO headquarters for documentation. Criminal charges are now being prepared against the suspect, who remains at large.
