Jolo, Sulu — Two newly-identified drug personalities were arrested in separate mobile patrol operations conducted by the Jolo Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by its Chief PLTC Annidul Sali, in coordination with the 1404th-B Regional Mobile Force Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14-B.
The first suspect, a 37-year-old male, married, unemployed, and a resident of Kasalamatan Village in Barangay San Raymundo, was apprehended around 10:30 p.m. last night. Police recovered two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 0.100 grams with an estimated street value of P680.00, along with various drug paraphernalia.
In a follow-up operation around 12:15 a.m. in Upper Kasulutan, Barangay Bus-Bus, authorities arrested another suspect, a 24-year-old male, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Walled City, Jolo, Sulu. Confiscated from him was a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing around 1.0 gram, valued at P120.00, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects are currently detained at the Jolo MPS detention cell while formal complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
