VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Three suspected drug personalities were arrested in two separate buy-bust operations conducted by authorities in Valencia City, Bukidnon this week, resulting in the confiscation of suspected illegal drugs worth a combined ₱187,680.

Operatives of the Valencia City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the operations in coordination with multiple law enforcement agencies as part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165).

The first operation was conducted at around 11:07 p.m. on March 3, 2026, in Purok 2, Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City. The joint anti-drug operation was led by the Valencia City Police Station under the direct supervision of Police Major Guy R. Pacamo, officer-in-charge, with support from the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team under the office of the city mayor, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10, the 1003rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10 Bukidnon, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Bukidnon PPO.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects identified only by their aliases “Odin” and “Joar.”

Alias “Odin,” 21, who is jobless and living with a partner, is reportedly a resident of Purok Pagkakaisa, Barangay Buklad in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. His alleged accomplice, alias “Joar,” 24, single and working as a driver, is a resident of Purok 10, Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City.

Authorities seized suspected illegal drugs with a total standard drug price of ₱142,800 during the operation.

Three days later, at around 10:58 p.m. on March 6, 2026, the same police unit conducted another buy-bust operation in Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Valencia City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Tikol,” 32, a single construction worker and resident of the said barangay.

Police confiscated suspected illegal drugs with a total standard drug price of ₱44,880 during the second operation.

The arrested suspects and the seized drug and non-drug evidence were brought to the Valencia City Police Station for proper documentation and processing.

The confiscated substances will be submitted to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination to confirm their composition.

Authorities are preparing criminal complaints for violation of Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs), Article II of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165) against the suspects.

Police officials said the operations underscore the continued collaboration among local and national law enforcement units in suppressing the illegal drug trade in Bukidnon. They also reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug efforts in Valencia City and nearby communities to curb the proliferation of illegal narcotics.
