Zamboanga City – A man was shot dead in the early hours of the morning following a shooting incident that occurred along Love Drive in Barangay Campo Islam at around 4:00 a.m., authorities reported.
The victim was identified as Mahadir Ladjaali, 48 years old, and a resident of the said area.
Initial information revealed that the gunfire erupted before dawn, sending alarm among residents in the quiet neighborhood. Ladjaali sustained fatal gunshot wounds, leading to his immediate death. Responding authorities rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the incident, but the victim was already lifeless upon their arrival.
As of this writing, investigators are still working to determine the identity of the suspect or suspects behind the attack, as well as the motive. No arrests have been made so far.
Police have launched a follow-up operation and are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
