Davao City, January 24, 2026 – In a show of strengthened coordination between law enforcement agencies, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11 conducted successful operations that led to multiple arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs and firearms.

In the first operation, Acting City Director PCOL Mannan C. Muarip, together with PDEA 11 DCO-RSET, conducted a buy-bust under Control No. 12‑00‑0124‑2026‑027 at Purok San Vicente, Barangay Leon Garcia. Authorities arrested alias “Jeger” for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (RA 10591). Confiscated from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 3.9 grams with an estimated street value of ₱26,520, one genuine ₱500 bill, a black sling bag, a .38-caliber revolver without serial number, and two rounds of ammunition.

Later that day, at around 5:05 P.M., a joint law enforcement team led by PDEA 11 dismantled an alleged drug den in Purok 40-A, Barangay Upper Ulas. The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Efren,” 48, after he allegedly sold one sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover agent. Authorities also apprehended three other suspects, identified as alias “Fhel,” alias “Rolando,” and alias “Ronie.” Eleven sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 16 grams, with an estimated total value of ₱119,000, along with drug paraphernalia and marked buy-bust money, were recovered.

“These operations reflect the continuing commitment of DCPO and PDEA to intensify the anti-drug campaign, enforce firearms regulations, and maintain peace and order in Davao City,” said PCOL Muarip.

The arrested individuals will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, with authorities urging the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts against illegal drugs.
