PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte — An alleged drug den operating in Barangay Consolacion was dismantled in the early hours of Saturday after a successful buy-bust operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XI, resulting in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of suspected illegal drugs valued at ₱120,000.
Authorities identified the primary target as alias “Agaw,” 27, who was tagged as the alleged maintainer of the drug den. He was apprehended at around 2:55 a.m. on January 17, 2026, after selling one sachet of suspected shabu weighing approximately one gram to an undercover PDEA operative for ₱8,000.
Also arrested during the operation were alias “Tasyo,” identified as a drug den employee, and alleged visitors alias “James” and “Raymart.” The operation was carried out at Purok 4, Barangay Consolacion, with support from the Philippine Coast Guard, the 2nd Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Panabo City Police Station.
Seized from the site were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu of assorted sizes, with a total estimated weight of 15 grams, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money. The confiscated items were properly inventoried and turned over for forensic examination.
The suspects are set to face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as authorities reiterated their commitment to dismantling drug dens and curbing the illegal drug trade in Panabo City and across Davao del Norte.
