QUEZON, Bukidnon — Police operatives arrested a 53-year-old man identified as a High Value Individual (HVI) and the Top 4 personality on the PNP/PDEA Provincial Target List during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salawagan, Quezon, Bukidnon, authorities confirmed.

Personnel of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office–Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (Buk PPO-PDEU), led by PMAJ Christian De Leon Serdeña, chief of PDEU, carried out the operation in coordination with the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (PIU) and the Quezon Municipal Police Station. The entrapment took place at Zone 3, Purok Mabuhay, resulting in the suspect’s immediate arrest.

Seized from the suspect were suspected shabu weighing a total of 52.72 grams, with a standard drug price of ₱358,496, marking one of the significant anti-illegal drug hauls in the province this year.

Authorities said cases for violation of Article II, Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malaybalay City.

The arrested individual and the seized evidence were brought to the Quezon Municipal Police Station for proper disposition, while the confiscated drug items were turned over to the Bukidnon Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Police officials emphasized that the successful operation underscores the intensified campaign against illegal drugs in Bukidnon, particularly the neutralization of high-value targets believed to be fueling the local drug trade.
