Mindanao — December 8, 2025 — Mindanao residents are advised to brace for another day of unstable weather as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) near Antique and prevailing localized thunderstorms will continue to affect the region.

In its 5:00 AM regional weather forecast, PAGASA said the LPA was spotted at 3:00 AM over the coastal waters of Culasi, Antique (11.5°N, 121.7°E). While the weather disturbance remains outside Mindanao, its extension and existing atmospheric conditions are enhancing thunderstorms across the island.

Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the day and into the early hours of tomorrow. PAGASA warned that flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Winds across the region will range from light to moderate coming from the East to Northeast, with coastal waters expected to remain slight to moderate, reaching 1.2 to 2.5 meters in wave height.
