BUTUAN CITY — A young man tragically took his own life inside his room in Barangay Pagatpatan, Butuan City, on Saturday morning, October 25, 2025.
Initial police reports said the incident happened shortly after the victim’s girlfriend allegedly exchanged text messages with her former boyfriend, which may have deeply upset the young man. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Relatives discovered the victim unresponsive inside his room and immediately sought help from barangay officials and responding authorities. He was later declared dead on the scene.
