SULTAN NAGA DIMAPORO, Lanao del Norte — Two individuals were arrested and more than ₱176,800 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated during a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the personnel of Sultan Naga Dimaporo Municipal Police Station (SND MPS) and the 1005th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB10), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), on the morning of October 19, 2025, at Purok 4, Barangay Pandanan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo.
The operation, conducted under Pre-Operation Number 11-00-10192025-01, led to the arrest of two drug suspects identified as alias “Nestan,” 35, jobless, a resident of Urban 4, Barangay Lumbia, Pagadian City; and alias “Kennit,” 58, jobless, a resident of Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur.
A police officer who acted as a poseur-buyer successfully purchased from the suspects one rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu worth ₱500.00.
Confiscated from the suspects were:
- Four medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 25 grams valued at ₱170,000.00;
- One ₱500.00 bill used as marked money;
- Five ₱100.00 bills used as buy-bust money;
- One disposable lighter;
- One OPPO cellphone; and
- One leather belt bag.
The total estimated weight of the seized drugs is approximately 26 grams, with a total street value of ₱176,800.00.
Authorities conducted the search, seizure, physical inventory, and marking of the confiscated items in an orderly manner, witnessed by the arrested suspects, barangay officials of Pandanan, and a media representative from Mata sa Katilingban FM.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against the suspects. They are currently under the custody of SND MPS for documentation and further disposition, while the confiscated substances were brought to the Lanao del Norte Provincial Forensic Unit (LDNPFU) for laboratory examination.
PCOL Leo De Leon Sua, Acting Provincial Director of Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office (LDN PPO), commended the operating teams for their dedication.
“This operation underscores the relentless commitment of LDN PPO in combating the proliferation of illegal drugs in the community. We assure the public that we will continue to intensify our efforts to eradicate illegal drug activities and bring offenders to justice,” he said.
The LDN PPO also urged the public to support the authorities in their anti-drug campaign by providing timely and accurate information about illegal drug operations in their areas.
