DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao del Norte (October 24, 2025) — The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division of the Philippine Army has achieved a major breakthrough in its campaign for peace and security after recovering a total of 1,421 firearms from various armed groups from 2024 to 2025.

The captured, confiscated, surrendered, and recovered (CCSR) firearms were presented during the division’s 38th founding anniversary celebration held at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte. The event, attended by top military officials and stakeholders, highlighted the command’s continued dedication to upholding peace and order across Central and Southwestern Mindanao.

Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, served as Guest of Honor and Speaker, and was welcomed by Maj. Gen. Donald M. Gumiran, Commander of the Western Mindanao Command and concurrent Commander of the 6ID and Joint Task Force Central (JTFC).

In his message, Lt. Gen. Nafarrete commended the men and women of the 6ID for their steadfast service and professionalism, which led to the neutralization of three major local terrorist organizations and the arrest of several key communist leaders.

The 6ID also strengthened its partnership with law enforcement agencies through 49 Support to Law Enforcement Operations (SLEO), which resulted in the capture of several most wanted criminals and drug personalities, along with the seizure of ₱8.7 million worth of illegal drugs and firearms.

Maj. Gen. Gumiran lauded the troops’ efforts, noting that the significant number of recovered firearms and neutralized threats reflect the effectiveness of sustained military operations and community engagement programs.

“The Kampilan Division will continue to protect our people and advance peace in Mindanao. This success is a product of unity, discipline, and the trust of our communities,” Gumiran said.

The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division / Joint Task Force Central reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing lasting peace and development through continuous collaboration with local stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and partner communities.
