Mindanao residents are advised to stay alert for possible flash floods and landslides as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across the island today, October 13, 2025.

According to the latest Regional Weather Forecast for Mindanao (MINPRSD) issued at 5:00 AM, weather conditions throughout the day until tomorrow morning will be influenced by localized thunderstorms, bringing intermittent rains and thunderstorms across all provinces.
PAGASA cautioned that severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.

General Conditions

Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail throughout Mindanao, with slight to moderate seas ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters. Daytime temperatures across the island will range between 19°C and 34°C, depending on location and elevation.

Regional Outlook

Zamboanga Peninsula

Zamboanga City and nearby provinces—Zamboanga del Norte, del Sur, Sibugay, and Isabela City—will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with possible afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

  • Winds: Light to moderate (northeast to north)
  • Seas: Slight to moderate

Northern Mindanao

Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental are expected to have generally fair weather in the morning, turning cloudy with localized rainshowers or thunderstorms later in the day.

  • Winds: Light to moderate (northeast to north)
  • Seas: Slight to moderate

Davao Region

Metro Davao and the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental may see occasional thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.

  • Seas: Slight to moderate

SOCCSKSARGEN

North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy conditions with isolated thunderstorms in some areas.

Caraga Region

Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Dinagat Islands are forecast to have warm mornings and humid afternoons, followed by isolated thunderstorms in the evening.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur will continue to experience fair to cloudy weather with isolated thunderstorms, mainly in coastal and lowland areas.

The weather bureau urges the public to remain vigilant for sudden heavy rains, strong lightning, and gusty winds associated with thunderstorms. Fisherfolk and small sea vessels are also advised to take precautions due to slight to moderate sea conditions.
