Mindanao – September 19, 2025 – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned of scattered rains across Mindanao today as the southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect the region, while Tropical Storm “Nando” {international name: Ragasa} hovers over the Philippine Sea.

As of 3:00 a.m. today, the center of “Nando” was estimated at 1,085 kilometers east of Central Luzon (16.1°N, 132.3°E). The storm packs maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, moving west-northwestward at 15 kph. While the storm has not yet made landfall, its circulation is enhancing the southwest monsoon, bringing rains and thunderstorms to parts of Mindanao.
