ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – Authorities have seized at least 60 unauthorized sirens and blinkers in a series of checkpoints across the province from July 1 to September 11, the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) reported.

The operations, jointly conducted by the Highway Patrol Group and the 1st and 2nd Mobile Force Companies, were carried out in line with the directive of Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu to strictly enforce the nationwide ban on “wang-wang.”

Mangudadatu said the crackdown is a reminder that respect for the law begins with simple rules.
“If we cannot follow simple laws, how can we follow the laws of the land?” he said.

The governor also warned motorists from outside Sultan Kudarat that they must abide by provincial regulations.
“Most of them are not from Sultan Kudarat but from neighboring provinces just passing through. Sabi ko sa ating kapulisan, kung walang batas doon sa inyo, pag dumaan kayo ng Sultan Kudarat, merong batas dito,” Mangudadatu stressed.

SKPPO provincial director Police Col. Bernard Lao assured that the campaign would be sustained to maintain road safety and discipline among motorists.
“We will sustain these operations to instill discipline and ensure safety on our roads,” Lao said, adding that residents are encouraged to report violators for immediate action.

Mangudadatu expressed gratitude to Sultan Kudarateños for complying with the policy and reminded visitors to respect local rules.
“When it comes to Sultan Kudarat, everyone is welcome but come with a clean heart. Yun po ang ating policy,” the governor said.

The update was presented by the SKPPO to the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) during its meeting on September 11.
