Tagum City, Davao del Norte — Authorities arrested a high-value drug personality in a buy-bust operation that yielded more than ₱4.6 million worth of suspected shabu early Thursday, September 18.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, through its Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro Provincial Offices, conducted the operation at around 12:10 a.m. in Purok 1, Barangay Canocotan.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Buloy,” 41, was apprehended after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent sachet containing around five grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to an undercover agent.
Authorities also recovered 12 more heat-sealed transparent sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 510 grams, drug paraphernalia, the marked buy-bust money, and the vehicle used in the transaction.
The confiscated drugs have an estimated value of ₱4,636,800.
PDEA said charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspect.
