Camp Darapanan, Maguindanao — Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Central Committee Chairman and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) President Al Haj Murad Ebrahim met with MILF Northwestern Command Commander and Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) member Abdullah “Commander Bravo” Macapaar on Monday, September 8, underscoring unity within the movement’s leadership.
In their meeting, Chairman Murad emphasized that the Bangsamoro struggle has entered a new chapter—no longer fought through the barrel of the gun but pursued through unity, perseverance, and the principles of moral governance.
Commander Bravo, once regarded as one of the MILF’s fiercest battlefield leaders, affirmed his loyalty to Chairman Murad and the collective leadership of the MILF. He echoed the Chairman’s call for the Bangsamoro people to defend the principles of the organization, live by the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, and remain steadfast in advancing the struggle through peaceful and democratic means.
The dialogue between the two leaders ended with a strong reaffirmation that only under the guidance of the MILF leadership can the Bangsamoro attain true victory, dignity, lasting prosperity, and the full realization of its right to self-determination.
Commander Bravo’s presence in Camp Darapanan served as a powerful symbol of unity, demonstrating that even the movement’s most battle-hardened commanders are committed to following Chairman Murad’s leadership as the Bangsamoro transitions toward peace and governance.
