Davao City – September 3, 2025 — Police arrested a suspected businessman and his driver after allegedly harassing residents while attempting to collect debts in Barangay 8-A, Davao City, Tuesday morning.
The suspects were identified only by their aliases as “Mujahid,” 25, of Bulak Compound, Lower Madapo, Barangay 8-A, and his driver “Jamail,” 45, of Barayco Compound, Bankerohan, Barangay 5-A.
According to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), San Pedro Police Station 2 received a call around 10:02 a.m. from a concerned citizen reporting an armed man harassing individuals over unpaid debts.
The alleged victims were a tricycle driver, “Darvin,” 34, “Annabelle,” 41, and a minor, “Gean,” 11 — all residents of Limboy Compound, Purok 11, Lower Madapo. Fearing for their safety, they sought police assistance.
Responding officers apprehended the suspects on-site and seized from Mujahid’s sling bag a .45 caliber pistol without a serial number, a magazine loaded with six bullets, and a coin purse containing 12 more rounds of ammunition.
The suspects are now under police custody and face possible charges for illegal possession of firearms and harassment.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine the full extent of the suspects’ activities.
