GENERAL SANTOS CITY — A 19-year-old man was arrested by the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) after allegedly attempting to break into an ATM machine and a surplus store in Barangay Lagao.
The suspect, identified as Brilliant Rain Ojuano, a resident of Purok Intake, Barangay Mabuhay, was caught in the act around 8:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025.
According to the report, Police Station 3 received a call reporting a robbery in progress in the area. Responding swiftly to the scene, authorities discovered the suspect hiding inside the storage area of the establishment. He was immediately apprehended.
City Police Director PCOL Nicomedes P. Olaivar Jr. confirmed the arrest and said the suspect is now in the custody of the GSCPO. Ojuano is facing charges related to attempted robbery and malicious mischief.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine if the suspect is connected to other similar incidents in the city.
