CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City (June 14, 2025) — The Municipality of Pangantucan in Bukidnon has earned the distinguished Balangay Seal of Excellence from the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) in a formal awarding ceremony held at the Pangantucan Municipal Gymnasium.
The award recognizes Pangantucan’s sustained and exemplary efforts in the nationwide fight against illegal drugs. It is conferred only to municipalities or barangays that have undergone rigorous multi-agency validation and have been declared free from drug pushers, users, drug dens, laboratories, marijuana cultivation sites, or any form of drug-related activity.
Present during the awarding were PDEA Region 10 Regional Director and ROCBDC Chairman Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi, alongside officials from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-10), the Department of Health (DOH-10), and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10).
PBGEN Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO-10, commended the local government of Pangantucan for its firm leadership and close coordination with law enforcement in maintaining peace and order in the municipality.
“The Balangay Seal of Excellence awarded to Pangantucan reflects their strong governance, public service, and solid partnership with the PNP—especially in our shared campaign against illegal drugs and criminality. Let us continue working together toward a safer and drug-free region,” Suguilon said.
He also congratulated both the municipal government and the people of Pangantucan for achieving this milestone and encouraged other localities to emulate their success.
The Balangay Seal of Excellence is one of the highest honors conferred by the ROCBDC, symbolizing a community’s commitment to a drug-free environment through cooperation, vigilance, and proactive governance.
