KIDAPAWAN CITY — Hundreds of job seekers trooped to the City Gymnasium on Tuesday morning, July 8, for a one-day Job Fair spearheaded by the City Government of Kidapawan in partnership with various government agencies and private employers.
Featuring both local and overseas employment opportunities, the event aimed to connect job seekers with potential employers and help improve the economic well-being of families in the city and surrounding areas.
City Administrator Janice Garcia emphasized that job generation is a flagship program of City Mayor Atty. Paolo Evangelista, part of a broader initiative to uplift livelihoods in Kidapawan. “This effort shows our commitment to bring opportunities closer to the people by working hand-in-hand with partner agencies and private companies,” Garcia said.
Kidapawan Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Manager Herminia Infanta warmly welcomed the attendees, many of whom came early to secure interviews and submit applications.

The activity was organized through the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and participating recruiters.
Organizers said the Job Fair is part of an ongoing initiative to address unemployment and underemployment in the city, and more similar events are being planned in the coming months.
