Polomolok, South Cotabato — July 14, 2025 — A male suspect was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Polomolok Municipal Police Station and allied units in Brgy. Cannery Site, after a failed attempt to flee using an SUV.
According to the Polomolok MPS, the operation was carried out by personnel under the supervision of PLTCOL Harold V. Cornel, Chief of Police, in coordination with the South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
The suspect reportedly tried to escape the scene aboard a white Chevrolet Trailblazer, which collided with a barricade and a parked motorcycle during the pursuit. Authorities quickly apprehended him and secured the area.
Recovered from the suspect were seven sachets of suspected shabu — one of which was sold during the buy-bust and six others found in his possession — with an estimated total weight of 38 grams and street value of around ₱260,000. Also confiscated were a red pouch, the marked buy-bust money, and the suspect’s vehicle.
The inventory of the seized items was properly documented in the presence of a barangay official and a media representative, as required by law.
The suspect is now in police custody while the illegal drugs have been turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
Polomolok Police emphasized their continued commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations to maintain peace and order in the municipality.
