June 18, 2025 – El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued its latest regional weather forecast for Mindanao, warning of possible rains and thunderstorms in several areas today until 5:00 AM tomorrow, June 19.
According to PAGASA-Mindanao PRSD, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is currently affecting the region, particularly the provinces of Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, and Tawi-Tawi. These areas can expect cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the forecast period.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by easterlies. Winds across the island will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast, with slight to moderate seas ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters.

Zamboanga Peninsula
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Isabela City: Partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Temperature ranges from 24°C to 34°C.
Northern Mindanao
- Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental: Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Temperature ranges from 22°C to 33°C.
Davao Region
- Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Metro Davao: Partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
- Davao Oriental and Davao Occidental: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperatures may reach up to 33°C.
SOCCSKSARGEN
- North Cotabato, South Cotabato: Generally fair weather with occasional thunderstorms.
- Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms expected. Temperatures between 24°C and 32°C.
Caraga Region
- Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands: Partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain.
- Surigao del Sur: Cloudy with thunderstorms throughout the day.
BARMM
- Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur: Generally fair weather with chances of isolated thunderstorms.
- Tawi-Tawi: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperatures ranging from 24°C to 31°C.
PAGASA advises residents in affected areas to remain alert for possible flash floods or landslides, especially in areas prone to heavy rainfall. Seafarers and those living in coastal areas are also reminded to exercise caution due to potentially moderate sea conditions.
