Villanueva, Misamis Oriental – A 48-year-old man was killed by his drinking companion in a brutal attack in Sitio Banban, Barangay Looc, on the evening of Saturday, June 28, 2025, allegedly for being too loud while singing.

The victim, identified as Allan Dayle, was reportedly slashed in the neck with a sickle by his friend while they were drinking tuba (coconut wine) inside a residence. He died on the spot due to the severity of the wound.
