Wao, Lanao del Sur — May 31, 2025 — A joint anti-illegal drug operation conducted by local law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a suspected drug pusher in Wao town on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities identified the suspect only by his alias “Tarak,” a 33-year-old male resident of Purok 7, Barangay East Kili-kili, where the operation took place.
The buy-bust was carried out around 4:45 PM along the National Highway by personnel from the Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit/Provincial Special Operations Group (PDEU/PSOG) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LSPPO), Amai Manabilang MPS, and the 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Seized from the suspect during the operation were:
- One heat-sealed sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 0.02 grams and valued at Php 1,360;
- One ₱500 bill used as buy-bust money;
- One Realme cellphone;
- Cash amounting to ₱2,550 in various denominations, suspected to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions;
- One Yamaha Mio 125 motorcycle (plate number 497KZQ).
Authorities conducted an on-site inventory and documentation of the confiscated items in the presence of the suspect, a barangay official, and a media representative. The items were also properly marked and signed by the arresting officer.
The suspect is now under the custody of Wao MPS as authorities prepare to file formal charges.
PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office, commended the participating units for their teamwork and commitment to the government’s anti-drug campaign.
