Davao City – As part of its intensified internal cleansing campaign, the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) conducted a surprise drug test on all personnel stationed at its headquarters in Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City.

A total of 709 personnel underwent the mandatory drug screening, which was implemented in coordination with the Regional Forensic Unit 11. The move is part of ongoing efforts by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to maintain a drug-free police force.

Test results revealed that one Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) tested positive for illegal drug use following a confirmatory examination. Authorities have since initiated administrative and legal procedures in accordance with PNP policies.

PRO 11 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Leon Victor Z. Rosete underscored the office’s commitment to integrity and discipline. “There is no place in the PNP for those involved in illegal drugs. We will remain steadfast in our efforts to cleanse our ranks and preserve the trust and confidence of the public,” he said.

The drug testing initiative is in line with the PNP’s Internal Cleansing Program under the leadership of PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil. PRO 11 reiterated its commitment to strict monitoring and enforcement measures to uphold professionalism and credibility within the organization.
