Bukidnon – Fifteen Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organizations (ARBOs) in Bukidnon received ₱8.2 million worth of farm machineries and equipment (FMEs) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), aiming to boost agricultural productivity and raise the income of farmers in the province.

The distribution forms part of the continuing commitment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to support Filipino farmers through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). The FMEs were delivered under two DAR initiatives: the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP) and the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities Program (SuRe ARC).

“These FMEs are not just tools—they symbolize the government’s trust and commitment to the development of our ARBs and rural communities,” said Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Jammal G. Pangandaman during the turnover ceremony. “By equipping our ARBOs with modern machinery, we empower them to rise above challenges and thrive in a climate-vulnerable environment,” he added.

The provided equipment is expected to ease manual labor, improve harvest efficiency, and enhance the capacity of farmers to adapt to climate change.

Among the machinery distributed were:

  • Stationary rice mills to Araneta Farmers Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association in Valencia City and Dangcagan Farmers Irrigators Association in Dangcagan;
  • Three-wheeled cargo vehicles to cooperatives in Sumilao, Manolo Fortich, Malaybalay City, Kibawe, Quezon, and Don Carlos;
  • Mobile corn shellers to farmer groups in Talakag, Malitbog, Cabanglasan, Lantapan, and Damulog;
  • Cassava granulator/chipper and furrower to Christ the King Christian Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Libona;
  • A farm tractor with implements to QUARBA Farmers Cooperative in Impasug-ong.

DAR Bukidnon reaffirmed its commitment to delivering timely and appropriate interventions to strengthen food security and promote sustainable growth in rural communities.
