COTABATO CITY — Two individuals were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted by law enforcement authorities on April 9, 2025, in Barangay Rosary Heights 10.
At around 12:20 PM, operatives from the Special Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Police Station 3, led by PMAJ Albert P. Carillo, Station Commander, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – BARMM, launched a buy-bust operation at Purok Dumpsite, Malagapas. The operation resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old self-employed male suspect, identified only by his alias “Pam,” a resident of the said area.
Shortly after, at about 12:40 PM, personnel from the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) of the Cotabato City Police Office, together with Police Stations 1 and 2, conducted another buy-bust operation at Purok Lower Bitara, also in Malagapas Street, Rosary Heights 10. The second operation led to the arrest of a 23-year-old construction worker known by the alias “Nadi,” who also resides in the vicinity.
Both operations were carried out under the supervision of Cotabato City Police Director PCOL Jibin M. Bongcayao, as part of the continuing campaign against illegal drugs in the city.
The arrested suspects are now under police custody and will face charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
