Marawi City, Lanao del Sur — April 5, 2025 — A joint law enforcement operation conducted in Barangay Bunganga 2, Marawi City, led to the successful arrest of a suspected drug pusher on Saturday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

At around 2:30 PM, operatives from the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO), through its Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), together with the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), 1403rd Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFC) of RMFB14-A, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (RDEU BAR), and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Marawi City Police Station, conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect identified only by his alias “Orak,” a resident of Barangay Lilod Madaya, Marawi City.

Confiscated during the operation were one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing approximately 0.41 grams, with an estimated street value of Php 2,788.00; one (1) genuine Php 500 bill with serial number CB9058622 used as marked money; and one (1) driver’s license.

Provincial Director PCOL Robert S. Daculan of LDSPPO commended the personnel involved in the successful operation, citing their dedication in the continued fight against illegal drugs in the province.

The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to Marawi City Police Station for documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
