TAMPAKAN, SOUTH COTABATO – A successful anti-drug operation conducted by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) led to the seizure of suspected shabu valued at Php194,792.80 and the arrest of a Street-Level Individual (SLI) in Purok Maligaya, Barangay Poblacion on March 18, 2025.

The buy-bust operation was carried out by personnel from the Tampakan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XII (PDEA XII) South Cotabato, and the South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit. Authorities arrested the suspect identified as alias “Gary,” a 39-year-old unemployed resident of Tampakan.

Law enforcers confiscated from his possession several heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a total of 28.646 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The recovered drug evidence is currently under the custody of the police for proper disposition and further investigation.

PRO 12 Regional Director PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente lauded the operatives for their commitment to combating illegal drugs in the region. “This accomplishment is another manifestation of PRO 12’s relentless perseverance towards the attainment of our goal – a peaceful, progressive, and drug-free region,” he stated.

Authorities continue to intensify their anti-drug efforts, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities to aid in maintaining peace and order in the community.
