KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 13, 2025) – The economic growth of a locality is largely dependent on the strength of its businesses, particularly those that highlight and promote local identity. In line with this, the Kidapawan City Pasalubong Center Association is participating in the Mindanao Trade Exposition (MTE) 2025, a significant event coinciding with the Araw ng Davao celebration. With the theme “Bringing the Mindanao MSMEs to Broader Markets,” the expo runs from March 12 to 16 at Ayala Malls Abreeza, JP Laurel Avenue, Poblacion District, Davao City.
The primary goal of this participation is to showcase and promote Kidapawan City’s diverse products, ranging from artisanal goods to agricultural delights. The event serves as a platform to expand the market reach of these local enterprises, not just within the region but also globally, given the influx of various buyers and tourists. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for direct Business-to-Business (B2B) engagements, enabling entrepreneurs to forge potential partnerships and explore investment opportunities.
Among the featured local businesses at the expo are Norlind Chocolate, known for its locally-made chocolates; Art of Velasco, offering arts and crafts; Bayong Local, which specializes in hand-printed bags; and SJC Food Products, the brand behind Kape Kidapawan. Also present are TSM Food Products with their Calamansi Juice, Tri-People Farmers Association of Ilomavis showcasing Chayote Pickles, Perez Arb Products with their Abaca bags, Kamalig Mushroom Hauz featuring Mushroom Chicharon, and Therasa’s, which offers an array of home-made delicacies.
Beyond promoting the exceptional craftsmanship and creativity of Kidapawan entrepreneurs, the event is expected to have a positive impact on the growth of their respective businesses. This initiative significantly contributes to the economic development of the city, reinforcing the role of local enterprises in fostering sustainable progress.
