Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur – A law enforcement operation through a checkpoint in Purok 6, Brgy. Francfort, Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur, led to the apprehension of a suspected drug peddler in the early hours of March 5, 2025.
Personnel of Amai Manabilang Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the 3rd Platoon, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), successfully carried out the operation at around 12:30 AM. The checkpoint resulted in the arrest of a suspect, a resident of Purok 8, Poblacion, Damulog, Bukidnon.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were one blue belt bag containing a blue lighter, a driver’s license, two official receipts, and a certificate of registration of motorcycles. Authorities also recovered seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated total weight of seven grams and a street value of Php 47,600.
Following standard procedures, the suspect was informed of the nature of his offense and his constitutional rights at the time of his arrest. The arrested individual, along with the confiscated evidence, is now under the custody of Amai Manabilang MPS for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges.
Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Robert S. Daculan, commended the personnel involved in the operation for their dedication to maintaining peace and order in the province. The LDSPPO reiterated its commitment to intensifying law enforcement operations to combat illegal drug activities in the region.
