Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) on February 3, 2025, in Purok Sampalok, Brgy. Magsaysay, Esperanza. The successful operation was carried out through the joint efforts of the SK Provincial Drug Enforcement and Intelligence Unit, Esperanza Municipal Police Station (MPS), and the 2nd SKPMFC.
The suspect, a 29-year-old government employee and a resident of Sitio Tarlac, Brgy. Villamor, Esperanza, was apprehended after authorities confiscated approximately 2.00 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu.” The seized illegal drugs have an estimated standard drug price of P13,600.00.
Aside from the illegal drugs, law enforcement also recovered a small pouch, one Vivo Android cellphone, a DepEd identification card, a Yamaha Sniper 155 motorcycle, and one marked P500 peso bill used in the transaction.
The suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, was brought to the Esperanza MPS for proper documentation and disposition. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing against the individual.
PCOL LAO, provincial director of SKPPO, commended the operating teams for their unwavering dedication in combating illegal drugs. He reiterated that the province’s anti-drug operations remain impartial, ensuring that even government employees involved in drug-related activities will be held accountable.
