Polomolok, South Cotabato – A drug den owner and two accomplices were arrested in a successful buy-bust operation that led to the dismantling of a drug den in Polomolok, South Cotabato, on February 6, 2025, at 8:45 PM.
The arrested suspects were identified as Alias Don-Don, 41, a male farmer and resident of Miravilla Homes, Barangay Glamang, Polomolok; Alias Roger, 47, a male driver from Kapatagan Grande, Digos City; and Alias Ryan, 34, a male vendor from Miasong, Tupi, South Cotabato. Authorities confirmed that Don-Don was the den maintainer, while Roger served as an employee, and Ryan was a visitor at the time of the operation.
During the raid, operatives seized 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 10 grams, with an estimated street value of Php 68,000.00, along with assorted drug paraphernalia.
Director Benjamin Recites III of PDEA Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO12) stated that cases for violation of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspects.
The operation was spearheaded by the PDEA Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, in coordination with PDEA South Cotabato Provincial Office, PDEA National Special Enforcement Team, Polomolok Municipal Police Station, and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12.
Authorities emphasized that this successful operation is part of their intensified efforts to combat illegal drug activities in the region. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further links to broader drug networks.
