In a series of coordinated manhunt operations, authorities in SOCCSKSARGEN successfully arrested three high-profile fugitives on February 4, 2025. The joint efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies led to the capture of individuals wanted for heinous crimes, reinforcing the commitment of the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) to public safety and justice.
In Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, operating units of the Isulan Municipal Police Station, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 12, Provincial Highway Patrol Team, Anti-Kidnapping Group, and Mindanao Field Unit executed an arrest warrant against one of the region’s most wanted persons. The suspect, identified as alias “Jefferson,” 27, a laborer and resident of Barangay Bual, was apprehended for Lascivious Conduct under Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610. The warrant was issued by Judge Felix Factor Mesa of the Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, with a recommended bail of Php 200,000. Following the arrest, the suspect was placed under the custody of Isulan MPS for proper documentation.
In South Cotabato, another successful operation resulted in the arrest of SOCCSKSARGEN’s Top 7 Most Wanted Person. Personnel from the Tupi Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, 1205th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12, Regional Special Operations Group 12, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 12 apprehended alias “Mosimo,” 50, a farmer and resident of Barangay Poblacion, Tupi. The suspect was wanted for six counts of Rape, as per warrants issued by Judge Allan Edwin P. Boncavil of RTC Branch 62, Polomolok. Due to the gravity of the charges, no bail was recommended. The arrested individual was transported to Tupi MPS for further proceedings.
Meanwhile, in Polomolok, South Cotabato, law enforcement officers executed another high-risk operation, leading to the arrest of the Region’s Top 8 Most Wanted Person. Joint forces from the Polomolok Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies, and Regional Intelligence Division 12 apprehended alias “Robinson,” 28, a resident of Barangay Bentong, Polomolok. The suspect was wanted for Murder and Carnapping with Homicide under warrants issued by Judges Alena Gale H. Palileo-Yabes and Oscar P. Noel of RTC Branches 39 and 35, respectively. Both cases carried no bail bond recommendations. The suspect was placed under the custody of Polomolok MPS.
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, commended the successful arrests and emphasized the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to uphold peace and order in the region. “These operations demonstrate our resolve in bringing criminals to justice and ensuring the safety of our communities. We will continue to pursue offenders and protect the rights of every citizen,” he stated.
The series of arrests highlights the intensified anti-criminality campaign of PRO 12 and underscores the effectiveness of collaborative efforts among police units in SOCCSKSARGEN.
