Kidapawan City, February 13, 2025 – A momentous occasion for the Moro community unfolded today as the City Government of Kidapawan ceremonially launched the landmark City Ordinance No. 14-07, also known as the Moro Code. The initiative, spearheaded by City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista and Vice Mayor Melvin E. Lamata Jr., marks a significant step toward inclusivity and empowerment for the city’s Muslim residents.

The newly enacted ordinance ensures that the Moro community will have enhanced access to benefits, programs, and equal opportunities in decision-making processes concerning development projects that directly impact them. By working hand-in-hand with the local government, Moro leaders and residents will have a stronger voice in shaping initiatives that foster progress and sustainability.

The ceremonial launch saw the participation of esteemed city officials, including City Councilors Jason Roy Sibug, Judge Francis Palmones, and Carlo Agamon.
