Saguiran, Lanao del Sur – A total of 366 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) received their Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) in a ceremonial distribution event held today, February 24, 2024. The event was spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Lanao del Sur in collaboration with the Municipal Government of Saguiran.

Leading the ceremony was MAFAR-LDS Provincial Director Atty. Khalid D. Ansano, PABE, together with Saguiran Municipal Mayor Hon. Jalalodin M. Angin. The program commenced with a welcome address by MAFAR Municipal Officer Engr. Soraya M. Manalocon, marking the significance of the occasion for the ARBs and the local agricultural sector.

CARPO Rocaina A. Mindalano elaborated on the rationale behind the initiative, highlighting the critical role of land ownership in enhancing the livelihoods of agrarian reform beneficiaries. Additionally, Chief of Legal Services Atty. Johayra C. Ysmael provided a briefing on the rights and responsibilities of ARBs to ensure they understand their obligations as new landowners.

Atty. Ansano expressed optimism that more lands in Lanao del Sur would be granted to deserving Meranao farmers, reinforcing the government’s dedication to agrarian reform. Mayor Angin, on the other hand, extended his appreciation to MAFAR for facilitating the distribution and emphasized the positive impact of the initiative on Saguiran’s farming community.

This event forms part of MAFAR’s continuous efforts to implement agrarian reform, ensuring rightful land distribution to empower farmers and promote agricultural development across Lanao del Sur.
