The lifeless body of a man reported missing since Sunday, January 5, 2025, was discovered this Tuesday afternoon in the municipality of Tubaran, Lanao del Sur. The victim, identified as Lahmudin Minalang, was a freshwater fish vendor residing in Sitio Bangon, Barangay Simsim, in the municipality of Pahamudin, SGA-BARMM.

Lahmudin, a husband and father, was last seen conducting his business in the town of Marugong. His family now mourns his tragic demise, especially his pregnant wife, who is left to care for their children amidst this tragedy.

Family members suspect foul play, alleging that Lahmudin was tortured before he was killed. They also noted that his motorcycle and the earnings from his fish business were missing, further raising suspicions of robbery-motivated violence.

According to Maguindanao News Updates, the victim’s remains are currently being transported back to Pahamudin for a proper burial. The family is demanding justice for Lahmudin, urging authorities to thoroughly investigate the crime and hold those responsible accountable.

In a heartbreaking twist, one of Lahmudin’s children is reportedly confined in a hospital, adding to the family’s burden during this difficult time.

The community joins the grieving family in seeking justice for Lahmudin as they call for action to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
