PBGEN Romeo J. Macapaz, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), engaged in two significant meetings aimed at bolstering peace and order in the region.

On December 4, 2024, PBGEN Macapaz paid a courtesy call to Cotabato City Mayor Hon. Mohamad Ali “Bruce” C. Matabalao at the People’s Palace, Cotabato City. The discussion emphasized strengthening coordination between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local government. Both leaders focused on joint initiatives and strategic programs designed to enhance peace and order, reflecting a shared commitment to the safety and well-being of Cotabato City residents.

The following day, December 5, PBGEN Macapaz, represented by PCOL Julius Cecil S. Ordoño, Officer-in-Charge of DRDA/DRDO, met with Dr. Haroro J. Ingram, Country Director of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), and his team at the Rider’s Nook, Camp BGen Salipada K. Pendatun in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte. This meeting highlighted the collaboration between PRO BAR and USIP to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process in the region. With BAR navigating a critical period in its democratic journey, the partnership underscores a shared dedication to transparency, stability, and the upholding of democratic values.

These engagements reflect a concerted effort to build robust partnerships across local and international stakeholders, ensuring that peace and security remain central to the region’s development and democratic processes.
