The event was graced by both the elder Duterte and his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, on Wednesday afternoon. The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported that the crowd swelled to around 50,000 by the afternoon. Attendees received various gifts, including food packs, cash, gift checks, and other items. Adding to the festivities, Vice President Duterte actively participated in games and raffles alongside comedians and event hosts, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
Ensuring Safety and Order
To maintain peace and order, over 3,000 police personnel, supported by auxiliary forces, were deployed during the event. DCPO spokesperson Police Capt. Hazel Tuazon emphasized the importance of security measures, ensuring the safety of all participants in the traditional holiday gathering.
