The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) officially proclaimed its local candidates for eight municipalities in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The proclamation event was led by UBJP Party President and BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim, accompanied by Party Vice President Mohagher Iqbal, Vice President for Women Engr. Aida Silongan, and SGA Provincial Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Kellie Antao.
During the event, candidates for mayor, vice mayor, and councilor positions from the municipalities of Pahamuddin, Kadayangan, Nabalawag, Old Kaabakan, Kapalawan, Malidegao, Ligawasan, and Tugunan were officially proclaimed.
The UBJP expressed its full support for the proclaimed candidates, pledging to guide them in ensuring that their platforms align with the principles of justice, peace, and development. The party aims for these candidates to drive positive change and serve as a bridge to progress within their communities in the SGA BARMM.
In his speech, Chief Minister Ebrahim emphasized the importance of genuine leadership centered on moral governance and the welfare of the community. He highlighted that those entering politics must have a clear and sincere purpose to serve the people for the greater good.
UBJP promotes a collective leadership approach, where every decision and action is focused on addressing the true needs of the region. The party advocates for leaders who are accountable, honest, and dedicated to serving the people.
With the proclamation, the UBJP hopes that these candidates will bring about meaningful improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of their respective communities in BARMM.
