Two Drug Peddlers Arrested at Wao Checkpoint, P34K Worth of Shabu Seized

In a successful joint law enforcement operation, two drug suspects were apprehended at a checkpoint in Purok 7, Barangay East Kili-kili, Wao, Lanao del Sur. The operation, led by the Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), PDEU/PSOG LSPPO, and the 3rd Platoon of the 1st PMFC, resulted in the arrest of two individuals identified as alias “Ajib” and alias “Daud,” both residents of Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.
The checkpoint, conducted at 12:40 PM, led to the discovery of three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 5 grams and a street value of approximately PHP 34,000.
In addition to the illegal drugs, authorities confiscated several items from the suspects, including:
- A driver’s license
- PHP 71,000 in cash placed in a black plastic parcel
- PHP 1,870 in different denominations
- A Samsung Redmi cellphone
- A black sock containing additional items
- A Honda Click 125 motorcycle with plate number 487KEF
The suspects were immediately informed of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language they fully understood. The markings and inventory of the seized evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspects, a Barangay official, and a local media representative, ensuring transparency in the operation.
PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO), commended the collaborative efforts of the Wao MPS, PDEU/PSOG LSPPO, and the 1st PMFC for their diligence and successful execution of the operation.
