Davao City, Philippines — The Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) XI declared three more barangays in Davao City as drug-cleared on September 30, 2024. The committee, chaired by DIR III Naravy D. Duquiatan, Regional Director of PDEA Regional Office XI, announced that Barangay 3-A, Barangay Mahayag, and Barangay Lubogan have met the requirements set by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 4, Series of 2021.
The declaration was made during a gathering at RB Fours Complex Cockpit Arena in Barangay Ilang, Tibungco. The ROCBDC XI includes representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Department of Health, the Police Regional Office XI, and the respective Local Government Units.
Aside from the newly declared drug-cleared barangays, 103 barangays in the Davao Region also retained their drug-cleared status. Members of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils, the chiefs of police of the respective precincts, and other stakeholders attended the event, underscoring the importance of collaboration in sustaining anti-drug efforts.
This declaration reflects the continuous efforts of local authorities to combat illegal drugs and maintain a safer community in Davao City.
