On October 19, 2024, the Maragusan Municipal Police Station conducted two successful operations, thanks to a tip-off from a concerned citizen.
The first operation took place at 10:50 AM in Purok Malvar, Barangay New Panay. Acting on the tip, authorities discovered a fully grown potted marijuana plant hidden beneath banana trees. The plant was confiscated and is now in police custody for further investigation.
In addition to this, another checkpoint operation led to the seizure of illegal drugs, specifically shabu, and a firearm. The Maragusan Police are continuing their efforts to curb illegal activities in the region, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and security.
