3 Municipalities in Bukidnon Declared Insurgency-Free

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – Three municipalities in Bukidnon—Kadingilan, San Fernando, and Damulog—have been officially declared insurgency-free, marking a significant achievement in the region’s efforts to maintain peace and security.

The Municipality of San Fernando earned its insurgency-free status through Resolution No. 555, Series of 2024, dated May 7, 2024. The official declaration was made on May 28, 2024, at Brgy. Halapitan Municipal Gymnasium, following the dismantling of the Sub Regional Sentro-de-Grabidad (SRSDG) Peddler, thanks to the combined efforts of Joint Task Force AGILA, the 10th Infantry Division, and the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10).

Kadingilan was similarly declared insurgency-free under Joint Resolution No. 03-2024, issued on May 21, 2024. The ceremony recognizing its status was held on June 19, 2024, at the Kadingilan Municipal Gymnasium.

Damulog joined the list of insurgency-free municipalities under Resolution No. 03-2024 of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC). The formal declaration was made on August 13, 2024, at the Municipal Gymnasium in Damulog.

PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, commended the efforts of all involved agencies and the local communities for their role in securing these areas. He emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, “We are grateful for the cooperation of the people of Kadingilan, San Fernando, and Damulog, as well as the dedication of our police and military forces in ensuring peace and order in the region. The declaration of these municipalities as insurgency-free is a significant step towards sustained progress and development.”

PRO10 urged the public to continue supporting the government’s efforts to combat insurgency and maintain peace across the region.
