Camp Vicente L. Pimentel Sr., Tandag City – The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) has successfully apprehended several most wanted individuals in a series of operations. Police Colonel Harry B. Domingo, Provincial Director of SDSPPO, identified the arrested suspects as follows:
- A.K.A. “Chris”, a farmer from Purok 7, Sitio Lubcon, Barangay Mabahin, Cortes, Surigao del Sur.
- A.K.A. “Dennis”, a farmer from Purok 6, Barangay Mabahin, Cortes, Surigao del Sur.
- A.K.A. “Rodel”, a driver from Purok Avocado, Barangay San Agustin Norte, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
- A.K.A. “Topher”, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Pakwan, Lanuza, Surigao del Sur.
On September 19, 2024, at around 5:30 AM, PNP personnel from Cortes MPS, under the supervision of PMAJ Ely Flor A. Breviescas, arrested “Chris” and “Dennis” in Purok 6, Sitio Lubcon, Barangay Mabahin, Cortes. Both were wanted for theft (RPC ART. 308) under Criminal Case No. 9480-24, issued by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 40, Tandag City, with a recommended bail bond of PHP 30,000 each.
Later that day, at around 12:40 PM, PNP personnel from the 2nd PMFC, SDSPPO, led by PCMS Joselito B. Guerra, and supervised by PLTCOL Vinn C. Duran, arrested “Rodel” in Purok Avocado, Barangay San Agustin Norte, Tandag City. He was wanted for rape (RPC ART. 266-A) under Criminal Case No. 3138, with no bail recommended, issued by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 27, Tandag City.
Furthermore, at around 4:10 PM, PNP personnel from Cantilan MPS, led by PCPT Joevarie S. Arreza, apprehended “Topher” in Purok 4, Barangay Pag-antayan, Cantilan. He was wanted for acts of lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 under Criminal Case No. 2446, with a recommended bail of PHP 200,000, issued by RTC, Branch 41, Eleventh Judicial Region, Cantilan.
All arrested individuals were duly informed of their constitutional rights and brought to their respective MPS/CCPS for proper disposition.
