Manila, Philippines – The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has announced that it will not be attending the Committee on Appropriations hearing on the proposed OVP Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, scheduled for today.
In a statement released this morning, the OVP explained that the reasons for their non-attendance were addressed in a recent interview with the Vice President, which was made public earlier today. Additionally, the OVP has sent a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, detailing their position.
The OVP has assured the public and the Committee on Appropriations that all necessary documentation, including a comprehensive presentation on the proposed budget for FY 2025, has been submitted to the House of Representatives.
“In view of the foregoing, the OVP defers entirely to the discretion and judgment of the Committee regarding its budget proposal for 2025,” the statement concluded.
The Vice President’s office expressed gratitude for the understanding and cooperation of all parties involved.
