Zamboanga City, Philippines – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and Zamboanga International Airport (ZIA) are thrilled to announce the arrival of Leading Edge Air Services Corporation (LEASCOR)’s inaugural flight, celebrated with a traditional Water Cannon Salute on September 10, 2024.
This exciting new service features the ATR-72 aircraft, renowned for its efficiency and reliability in regional travel. The route, operating twice a week, is designed to enhance connectivity and provide greater convenience for air travelers across the region.
The flight routes will include Cebu to Zamboanga (ZAM), Zamboanga to Jolo, Jolo back to Zamboanga, and finally, Zamboanga to Cebu. The flight schedule is as follows:
- CEB-ZAM: 0600H – 0723H
- ZAM-JOL: 0823H – 0914H
- JOL-ZAM: 1014H – 1100H
- ZAM-CEB: 1200H – 1330H
The introduction of this new service is expected to significantly boost regional connectivity, making travel more accessible and convenient for passengers. The ATR-72 aircraft, known for its fuel efficiency and reliability, is well-suited for the regional routes it will serve.
