Pagadian City, Philippines – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 9 (PDEA-RO9), led by the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office and supported by the PDEA-RO9 Regional Special Enforcement Team, successfully dismantled a drug den and arrested four high-value targets (HVTs) in Barangay Sto. Niño, Pagadian City.

The operation, conducted in coordination with the Pagadian City Police Station, took place on March 4, 2025, at around 4:05 PM in Purok Ferdinand. Authorities recovered approximately 12.4 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱84,320.00, from various locations within the drug den. Additionally, non-drug evidence such as disposable lighters, improvised aluminum tooters, aluminum foil strips, and a plastic scoop were confiscated. Firearm-related items, including two live 5.56mm rounds and empty shells of 5.56mm and 9mm ammunition, were also found on the premises.

Director III Maharani R. Gadaoni-Tosoc of PDEA 9 identified the arrested suspects as alias Erick, 55, the alleged drug den maintainer; alias Renato, 26, a drug den visitor; alias Alnesal, 23, a drug den visitor; and alias Alnesdal, 18, identified as a drug den employee.

The suspects are currently in the custody of PDEA 9 and will face charges for violations of Sections 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as Republic Act No. 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

This latest operation underscores PDEA 9’s commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities in the region. Authorities urge the public to report any suspicious drug-related activities to aid in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.
