Cotabato City – A lesbian was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital while her female companion sustained injuries after they were shot by two unidentified assailants along Parang Road, Quezon Avenue, Rosary Heights 2, Cotabato City, at around 3:40 PM.
The victim was identified as Almira Hamsa Usman, a 27-year-old self-employed resident of Bagua 2. Meanwhile, the injured passenger was Jane Ersando Palileo, a married businesswoman residing in Rosary Heights 12.
According to the initial report from Police Station 1, the victims were riding a green Yamaha Nmax when two armed men on a motorcycle suddenly approached and opened fire. Authorities recovered four bullet casings from the crime scene.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is currently conducting an investigation to determine the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the attack.
