DAVAO CITY — An armed robbery was captured on CCTV after a gunman entered an establishment in the Matina GSIS area at around 1:37 a.m. on October 6, 2026, threatening the people inside with a firearm and taking personal belongings, according to an account posted by the owner of the establishment.

The owner of Marwerks Garage, identified in the post as Mar Israel, said the suspect initially appeared to be someone they knew. The gunman, described as an older man who arrived aboard a black Honda Click motorcycle, suddenly entered the shop and allegedly pointed a firearm at them. The situation quickly turned tense when the owner instinctively pushed the suspect after becoming frightened.

According to the owner’s account, the suspect fired his weapon as he fled or as the confrontation escalated, hitting him in the right forearm. The bullet reportedly passed through the arm. He was brought to Brokenshire Hospital, where an X-ray showed that the bullet did not hit any bone. The victim said the incident left them traumatized.

Another victim, a woman who was also reportedly inside the establishment, allegedly had some of her belongings taken by the gunman. The owner said no firearm was taken from the victims.

CCTV footage is expected to be crucial in helping authorities identify the suspect and establish the sequence of events. The victim has appealed to anyone who may recognize the man or have information about the motorcycle used in the robbery to coordinate with authorities.

The incident underscores continuing concerns over the security of establishments operating during late-night and early-morning hours. Authorities are expected to investigate the shooting and robbery, including the identity and possible escape route of the suspect.
